Programs

The Farmington Community Center provides two programs for the community; one for seniors and the other, for teens. We are able to provide these programs, because of the support received by the Davie County United Way.

The Senior Center:

The Farmington Senior Center is a satellite site of the Davie Senior Center of Mocksville.

They provide the program, directed by Kay Kilby, and the Farmington Community Center provides the space. The program provides seniors with daily activities such as; crafts, games, gardening, and exercise. They also provide seniors with beneficial seminars and a daily meal. There are computers available, with internet access, so seniors can use them to look up useful information. Outside, there is a walking track available, for those who enjoy walking for exercise and a senior garden where they can safely enjoy growing their own produce and flowers.

The best thing about the Farmington Senior Center is the home-like atmosphere. You will be sure to find a friend there to chat with, play a game, or have lunch with. If you decide to come in, have a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and read a good book, it will be just fine. The important thing is that you come, get out of the house, and enjoy a little fellowship.

The senior center is open Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The program is FREE to seniors 60 and over. Transportation is available through YVEDDI van service. For more information on the Farmington Senior Center, you may call 336-998-3730.
