Davie Senior Services The Farmington Senior Center is a satellite site of the Davie Senior Services of Mocksville. They provide the program, directed by Sight Manager, Janet Ball, and the Farmington Community Center provides the space with funds provided through a Davie United Way grant. The program provides seniors with daily activities such as; crafts, games, gardening, and exercise. It also provide seniors with beneficial seminars and a nutritious meal. There are computers available, with internet access, so seniors can use them to look up useful information. Outside, there is a walking track available, for those who enjoy walking for exercise and a senior garden where they can safely enjoy growing their own produce and flowers.
Games & Activities
The best thing about the Farmington Senior Center is the home-like atmosphere. You will be sure to find a friend to chat with, play a game of cards, or enjoy a hot lunch with. If you decide to come in, have a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and read a good book, it will be just fine. The important thing is that you come, get out of the house, enjoy a little fellowship and maybe even learn something new.
Fun with Friends
The senior center is open Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The program is FREE to seniors 60 and over. For more information on the Davie Senior Services program you may call (336) 998-3730.
