Farmington Community Center Policies General Policy Statement: The Farmington Community Center is a piece of Farmington history that has been preserved for the benefit of Davie Co. residents. The Center may be rented by families, civic groups, or for community events. Rentals are subject to board approval. Non Discrimination Policy: These facilities are available to all persons without discrimination of race, national origin, sex, religion, or disability. User Fees: Fees for renting the Center are set annually in the budget and are based on the cost per hour of custodial personnel and electricity cost. Fees are required at the time key is picked up from the Mocksville Recreation Dept. User Fee Exemptions: Non-profit organizations, county agencies, and other select groups are exempt of user fees, excepting damage fees, upon approval of the Farmington Community Association Board. Groups desiring to be exempted from user fees may submit a request for exemption to the Mocksville Recreation Dept. or to a member of the Community Association Board. Reservations: Those desiring to reserve the Community Center facilities, must fill out an application and submit it, along with appropriate fees, to the Mocksville Recreation Dept. A fee of $25.00 will be required at the time of reservation. A full refund will be available for cancellations made prior to 14 days before rental reservation date. Community Center Rules 1. Possession of controlled substances and consumption of fortified wines or any alcohol beverages are strictly prohibited. 2. Amplified music and public address systems are not allowed unless part of an authorized event. Music that is amplified and disturbs neighboring property owners are not allowed; including tapes, CDs …… 3. Community Center patrons will be responsible for properly disposing of their trash (including trash from building, picnic shelter, and surrounding grounds) in the dumpster located in the side parking area before leaving. 4. All scheduled events must be over by 10:00 PM. All Community Center patrons must vacate the property by 10:30 PM. Permission for extra time to pack up equipment and/or clean-up must be obtained prior to event.
