Welcome to the Farmington Community Center! We are here for you, providing space for recreation, programs to enrich your lives, and a place to fellowship with friends and family. We are working to preserve the past  by restoring what was left of the old Farmington School and to promote the future by providing a place where groups like 4-H clubs, Girl Scouts, and Junior Master Gardeners can meet as well as, a safe place for teens to gather for activities. Our ball field provides a great space for local teams to practice ball and our tennis court is used regularly by youth and adults looking to better their game. We also provide space for the Davie Co. Coon Hunters Club to meet. It too supports youth by providing a competitive sport that allows youth to compete with their dogs to earn prizes and scholarship money. We support our local seniors by providing a place where they can get a good lunch, enjoy activities, and get the support they need to live healthier lives. We also support people with disabilities by providing a meeting place for the Farmington Deaf  Social, which provides a time of activities and fun for the deaf and hard of hearing and we provide space for groups like the Arc of Davie to enjoy activity days at the center. We are working each day to "Preserve the Past to Promote the Future" and to meet as many needs in our community as possible.

The Farmington Farmers Market
Saturdays 8am-noon

Picture
The Farmington Farmers Market is a family-friendly market that provides homegrown produce and goods. You will find seasonal produce, plants, honey & jams, fresh eggs, goat's milk soaps & lotions, and fresh baked goodies. This year the market welcomes Two Sisters Specialty Meats, specializing in local hormone-free meats such as; beef, lamb, and pork and soon to provide goat and rabbit. The Farmington Farmers Market is a family-friendly market that is located in a safe off-the-road area so children & seniors can easily enjoy the market.

After you've visited the market, you may want to walk the walking track, play some tennis, do some bird watching or take a hike on the new Farmington Nature Trail, located behind the community center. Come on out and support our local growers while at the same time, supporting a healthier you.
Vender space is still available for a small fee of $5.00, no annual fee required. For more information on the Farmington Farmers Market call (336) 998-2912.

Opening May 11.

The Friday Night Bluegrass Jam is open every Friday night from 6:30-9:00pm. Come in and enjoy some of our local talents as they provide some unique bluegrass and gospel music. Local musicians are invited to bring their instruments and join in on the open jam session. Spectators are welcome to come in and enjoy the music and sing along to some familiar tunes. Snacks and refreshments are available. The jam is held in the meeting room of the Farmington Community Center. Cost is $2.00 for spectators and free to musicians.

All proceeds from the jam supports the Farmington Community Center. For more information on the Friday Night Jam, call Rick & Judy Wilson at (336) 492-5962.
