Welcome to the Farmington Community Center, located in Historic Farmington, NC.
The Farmington Community Association was formed in 1971 by local residents of the Farmington, North Carolina area who wanted to ensure that the seven acres and buildings that were no longer being used as a public school, would continue to be a place where the community could gather and have fellowship.  The local group was able to have the grounds and buildings donated to the Association for their oversight of the property and operations.  Since 1971, Farmington Community Center (FCC) has been here, providing space for recreation, programs to enrich lives, and a place to fellowship with friends and family.  We are working to preserve the past by restoring what was left of the old Farmington School and to promote the future by providing a place where groups youth groups like 4-H Clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and YoungLife can meet.  Our facilities are rented out for birthday parties, family reunions, meetings, musical performances, weddings and pageants.  Our ball field provides a great space for local teams to practice and we also have outdoor tennis and basketball courts.  We provide space for the Farmington Ruritans and Davie County Coon Hunters Club, both local civic organizations, to meet.  We also provide space for Red Cross Blood Drives.  We offer two weekly "jam" sessions for local musicians and singers.  We offer fitness and dance classes at a nominal cost to participants.  We sponsor cycling events twice per year and have weekly rides from the Center during spring, summer and fall.  Most recently, we received a donation of 60 acres of raw land on which we are creating a Nature Park, per the donors wishes.  This Park will be free to the public to enjoy, with disc golf, hiking and biking trails, and picnic shelters.  We are working each day to "Preserve the Past to Promote the Future" and to meet as many needs in our community as possible.
